Mr Kenneth Tan Jhu Hwa
Mr Tan is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Southern Capital, a leading private equity group based in Southeast Asia. At Southern Capital, he oversees the fund management process and is responsible for deal generation, execution, portfolio monitoring, post-acquisition value add and exits. Mr Tan is also a member of the group's investment committee.
Mr Tan started his career with Credit Suisse First Boston in New York City in 1997, where he assisted in developing valuation and leverage buyout analyses. From 1999 to 2002, Mr Tan was with GIC Special Investments, San Francisco where he led over US$500 million of private equity/venture capital fund commitments and investments. In 2002, Mr Tan co-founded Cassis International, a leading regional provider of smart card management products and services, where he was Executive Vice President. Mr Tan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (First Class Honours) from Cambridge University and a Royal Society of Arts Diploma in Fine Arts.
